Back in the saddle
Well, your Republican Reporter has returned from the European Journey. Over the next few days, I'll offer some brief insight into the economic and political conditions in the various cities and countries that we visited. In sum, we stopped in England, Italy, France and Germany. For my wife and I, this was our first trip back to Europe since 1988.
Overall, we were thrilled with the friendliness and cleanliness that we experienced in virtually every locale.
In particlar, France (that was none too friendly to tourists - from our expierence) was a welcoming city with friendly, helpful citizens. Maybe it helped that I was wearing a "I hate George Bush" T-shirt (just kidding).
