Why the media is swooning over Barak.

The liberal media has longed for the day that they could once again control media content and the levers of governmental power.  Frankly, it's not since the LBJ administration that liberal policies were being extolled in the press while being enacted by the govenrment.

Of course, so many of the LBJ's "War on Poverty" initiatives have proven to be utter failures.  In fact, in many instances, the programs not only failed to end poverty, but condemned generations of recipients to perpetual dependance.  (It's funny, but the liberals are so quick to walk away from the War in Iraq, that they consider a failure after a few years.  But, they are unwaiveringly loyal to the War on Poverty, which has been a proven failure for more than 40 years.)

Yet, the liberals continue to dream of a return to the LBJ days - a liberal press and a liberal President.  Since 1964, only two Democrats have been elected President (Carter & Clinton).  Carter ran as an outsider and operated his Presidency as such.  The liberal press liked him, but they never loved him.

While the press was also enamored of Bill Clinton, they were disturbed that he won the Demcoratic nomination as a moderate and ran his presidency the same way.

Then along comes Senator Obama.  Here is a candidate that espouses liberal ideals and is still winning in the polls.  It will allow the liberal media elites to return to the "glory" days of LBJ.  As a result, we're seeing them pull out all the stops to push, pull and carry the Obama bandwagon to election day.

All three network anchors are traveling with Obama on his European/Middle East tour.  That's unprecedented in media history and in the audacity with which the media have shrugged off their mantle of impartiality to put LBJ's heir in the White House.
