Change we can believe in!
The McCain campaign would be well served to turn the Obama theme to their own advantage.
Their ads could feature Illinois citizens and owners talking about "Change we have Experienced"
Illinois epitomizes the Democratic Nirvana that Obama wants to bring to the United States.
After all, Illinois has a legislative branch that is controlled by the Democrats. In fact, Illinois Senate President Emil Jones was strongly supported by then State Senator Obama.
Illinois' administrative branch is led by the failed Rod Blagojevich who was enthusiastically supported by Barak Obama.
While a State Senator, Obama supported many "changes", including:
burdensome fees on business.
increasing minimum wage laws beyond federal standards
new "community" programs, with tax dollars going to campaign donors.
Six years later, Illinois continues to suffer from the Obama's form of CHANGE. Illinois' economy is one of the poorest in the Midwest. Job growth lags behind that of Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana and Missouri. Our state budget deficit is one of the highest in the country. Teachers' are in serious danger of not having pension benefits in the next 10 years. And all this is the result of the CHANGE that Obama brought to Illinois.
"Change we can believe in!" Obama's history is clearly one of sucking up tax dollars while doling out pennies and nickels (but only to his supporters). Maybe that's the kind of change he's been referring to.
