"Layoff Notice"
A fellow business owner just sent this to me:
Dear Fellow Business Owner:
As a business owner who employs 30 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barak Obama will be our next President, and that my taxes and fees will go up in a BIG way.
To compensate for these increase, I figure that my customers, will have to see an increase in my fees to them of about 8%. I will also have to lay off 6 of my employees. This really bothered me as I believe we are family here and didn't know how to choose who will have to go. So, this is what I did. I strolled thru the parking lot and found 8 Obama bumper stickers on my employee's cars. I have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off.
I can't think of another fair way to approach this problem. If you have a better idea, let me know. I am sending this letter to all business owners that I know.
Sincerely,
In the last week, a business friend informed me that, based upon Card-check, if Obama is elected, he's decided to reduce his work force by 15%. He's not optimistic about the economy, and feels that there's a small group that will bring in a union.
If Obama is elected, maybe employers will develop a new name for pink slips tied to the Obama-Reid-Pelosi economy - as in, "I liked your work, but based upon the higher cost of business, I'm going to have to give you your "Obama notice".

I would not be quick to action. If you have a family atmosphere in your work place, then loyalty may be stronger than political promises. Mr Obama has been changing his tone through the campaign process. Who is to say that he will be successfull with most of his ideas, and he may not remember anything he said after Tuesday.
I can say this because my employees enjoy a family atmosphere. The work together. Mr. Obama has not convinced them that he has a better way. Most of my employees believe that he has another agenda for his puppet masters.
