In case you missed this....
Joe Biden, was being interviewed by Katie Couric and stated,
“When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the princes of greed,” Biden told Couric. “He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened.’”
1. FDR was not President when the market crashed.
2. TV was still being invented at the time - Rember FDR's RADIO fireside chats were considered groundbreaking.
But, of course, these are the words of the DEMOCRATIC nominee for Vice President.
Hence, there's no reason to get alarmed.
It's only when Palin makes a verbal gaffe that we need to call in the press corps.

He didn't say he was president at the time. Wasn't he the governor of NY at the time? Where Wall Street is? Anyway, it's pretty clear that he meant by "on television" that he went before the public. But anything to avoid about the issues...

It requires a 'willing suspension of disbelief' to buy that comment. William F. Buckley told someone during a debate that he wouldn't "…insult your intelligence by suggesting that you really believe what you just said.”

Where's the media lampooning Biden? All hell brakes loose because Quayle couldn't spell potato right, but Biden messes up American History and nobody seems to care. Another example of biased media?
And I have to agree with Andy's post/reply. Does Bill's explanation mean that when Walter Mondale said he was "going to raise taxes", he really meant that he was going to "adjust the tax code"?
Only in Democratland can you say one thing and the media and their liberal friends actually hear something else. It's amazing how many times I have heard Obama/Biden/Clinton campaign people or supporters go on political talk shows or NBC news to explain "what they really meant to say..."
