Donations

When Enron collapsed back in 2001, politicians rushed forward to either return any political contributions, or donate them to charity.

Funny, we don't hear the same hue and cry concerning the collapse of  Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.

Here's a list of the top three recipients of these GOVERNMENT SUPPORTED Entities:

Recipients of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Campaign Contributions, 1989-2008
Name Office State Party Grand Total Total from
PACs
Total from
Individuals
Dodd, Christopher J S CT D $165,400 $48,500 $116,900
Obama, Barack S IL D $126,349 $6,000 $120,349
Kerry, John S MA D $111,000 $2,000 $109,000

When can we stop the insanity of creating government entities, which contribute funds back to their creators, thus perpetuating their creator's term of office?

Nothing screams the need for term limits than these types of shenanigans.

By the way, the disgraced heads of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are members of Obama's economic team.  God help us.

In an attempt to see both sides were there any republicans, esp. John McCain, that received funding?
