Some weekend reading for you.....
(Thanks to Eric Z. for this piece)
In the 1980's a Wall Street insider, Michael Lewis, wrote an incredible book entitled, "Liar's Poker".
At 24 years of age, he was a financial manager for Salomon Brothers, even though he had never had an accounting course, run a business or had even managed his own money. He left three years later, much richer.
He wrote his book as a warning sign of the absolute incompetance on Wall Street. It took nearly 20 years for many of his predictions to come true.
His latest article: "The End" provides an updated account of his views. It's rather long, but worth the read.......over the weekend.
