Nancy Pelosi

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is under fire today for a host of issues. In short, she seems to be developing a very "convenient memory". Ironically, there's a strange connection that was pointed out to me just this morning.
Here are the two items, both from this week:
Pelosi wants Bush administration officials prosecuted for use of torture on terrorists, even though she was well aware of activity when she approved funding for it........... "She was part of the select group of congressmen and women told of the program. She did nothing to stop it.” Indeed, said the CIA’s Porter Goss, “Not only was there no objection, there was actually concern about whether the agency was doing enough” to extract confessions
And then there's this:
CongressmanJane Harman (D-California) has been caught on a wiretap negotiating with a pro-Israel group that is under investigation for espionage. In the wiretap, it is alleged that Ms. Harman is offering to help the group, if they will help her secure the chairmanship of the House Intelligence Committee.
Harman claimed she was denied the Chairmanship by Pelosi because of the wiretaps. Pelosi, on Tuesday, said she was never aware of the wiretaps. But that was Tuesday.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi acknowledged Thursday that she had indeed been briefed about a wiretap that recorded conversations involving Representative Jane Harman, contradicting a statement she made on Tuesday when she said she didn't’t remember being advised of such surveillance. Wow!
Just this morning, a good friend (who has five family members afflicted with Alzheimer's) suggested that Speaker Pelosi may be suffering from Alzheimer's. This is not some cheap political shot. In all seriousness, this individual said that, in listening to Speaker Pelosi, there is a continual stammering of words. From my friends experience, this is one of the earliest signs of the dreaded disease.
Speaker Pelosi should be encouraged to undergo an alzheimer's test immediately. The consequences for this nation are too severe not to do it.
Wow! Is the Republican Reporter becoming "Politically Correct"? ...Blaming a "mental illness" rather than just calling her a liar??
Now I guess this gives you and the other RR's cause to consider Alzheimer's Disease testing for me. I have obviously "forgotten" that a good subscriber should never never never question the RR!
