Global Warming

A Burger King Franchisee, that owns more than 40 stores across Kentucky and Tennessee, had put a simple sign on his sign boards that said, "Global Warming is Baloney".  He got quite a reaction from Corporate Headquarters and has since removed the sign.

But the brief sentiment is reflective of an undercurrent that is sweeping the country.  People remain highly skeptical of the claims made by the environmental proponents.  News headlines like this:

Snow in Dickinson, ND on June 6th for first time in 60 years
        The Sun causes climate change

In fact, it's gotten so bad for the "Global Warming" Crowd that they've now issued a directive to all their minions.  "We will no longer refer to 'Global Warming'.  Rather, we will now refer to only 'Climate Change'.  (This way they don't have to apologize when their conferences are interrupted by record breaking cold temperatures and snow.)  Of course, the compliant media happily follows suit.

However, beyond the news stories and name changing, the most salient point in the debate is what's not being said.

On November 12, 1993, a young man went on national television to debate the pressing national issue of the day.  It was a 90 minute debate that helped sway the publics attitude toward the critical issue.  The debate was held on CNN and moderated by Larry King.   Do you remember it?

Of course, it was the debate between then VP Al Gore and Texas Billionaire Ross Perot.  Gore did a masterful job in his presentation and is credited with gaining critical support for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

And now, Al Gore has received countless accolades for his environmental work (Nobel Prize, Oscar, Grammy, etc., etc.) on "Global Warming"  "Climate Change".   But what's the one thing he has failed to do?

DEBATE.

Al Gore has refused every effort to debate the issue of Global warming.  Scientist from around the country have asked for the opportunity to have a "NAFTA type debate" with Al.  But he refuses.

His silence is deafening.
