Dick Durbin
Illinois' Senior Senator has always portrayed himself as a "man of the people". His roots are humble, and through his financial disclosures, he's never shown himself to be making any "big bucks" from his public service.

Last year, he took a leading role in crucifying those on Wall Street, whose greed led them to engage in "insider trading" and other illegal schemes.
Ironically, it's now been revealed that in September of 2008, Mr. Durbin, along with other congressional leaders were briefed by the Secretary of the Treasury and the Federal Reserve Chairman of the coming collapse of the market and banking communities. The day after that meeting, Senator Durbin liquidated a significant portion of his investments in the market and redeployed them to safer investments. The move allowed him to ride out the eventual market collapse, relatively unscathed.
Read much about this in the news? Nope, me neither.
You can find it in a few publications, like the Washington Times. But other than that, little is being covered on the story.
Funny, the Senator (and compliant press) who thought this was such a big issue in 2008, suddenly can't find their voice.

Bob you are aware the capital budget for the schools and how StewStras has been waiting for 6 years for their money. I'm trying to confirm some information I heard that Huntsville built a new building. If this is true similar to this story did Roger Eddy have an inside tract to get his building built. It seems as if it benefits him then it will get done. How else are our schools suffering. I would like to purpose that the Superintendent of Schools does not hold another positions at the same time. I think that having been a Superintendent is great experience for the position. Can you confirm this information.

Angie, I'll see what I can find out. I think a call to Roger's office would confirm when the project was completed.
I'll try to let you know.
Thanks!

I think we must all remember what Durbin has been up to and try to get him out of office. He has been a pain to the pro-life cause for years.
