The face of health care

He's in his late twenties.  He works a job that provides him both taxable and non-taxable income.
He owns a cellphone with full digital and texting capabilities.  His high end entertainment system also includes a cable tv package.

And even though he's only one person, he owns a regular sedan, as a well as his "sports car".

He has everything going for him.  What's the one thing he lacks?  Health Insurance.

Why would someone this successful be unable to secure health insurance?  Because it's not a priority for him.

Oh sure, he'll take it if he gets it for free, but his cell phone, cable bill and sports care are a far higher priority.

So, because he doesn't make health insurance a priority, Obama and Pelosi are demanding that we (the taxpaying public) must make it our priority, and sacrifice our own access and coverage to do so.

When President Obama was in the Illinois Senate, he was told by the "experts" that there were thousands of uninsured Veterans in Illinois.  Based on the "experts" numbers and advice, Obama voted for health care coverage for all Illinois Veterans.  Once enacted, the Illinois Government went out to sign up the uninsured.  And over six months (with lots of publicity and fanfare), exactly 14 Veterans signed up for the program.

It should have been a powerful lesson to Obama that sometimes the "experts" are indeed WRONG.  But why let facts and experience cloud an already stilted agenda.

Tea Party - Effingham's Brian Milleville is putting together the next Tea Party Protest.  This one's scheduled for the Effingham Court House lawn on Saturday 12th at 2:00 pm.  The last event had more than 500 in attendance.  I'm confident that this one will be even bigger.  Please don't miss it.
