The Marines are coming!
Congressman, Brian Baird (D-Washington) had previously said (regarding the town hall meetings), "What we are seeing now is very close to brownshirt tactics."
Here's a very funny video in which a former Marine actually calls out the Congressmen on his words. Listen particularly to 1:08 in the video in which the Congressman says he never made such a statement, and then says, "And I've apologized for it".

Mr. Schultz,
I continually see your postings and you always put down Democrats. Not all Democrats have the same ideology as our current house or President. My question is, Are there any elected Democrats that you give praise too? And if you do, Who are they, If I may boldly ask? You always place blame on Democrats and have nothing but more positive things to say about GOP.

Mr. Giles, Thanks for writing. You ask a fair question. By the title of my blog, I'm attempting to offer a Republican Perspective - hence, my bias (which I identify in the masthead).
BUT...to answer your question - YES, there are Democrats that I like. In particular, I like Senator Evan Bayh. He ran the state of Indiana as a fiscal conservative, when he was Governor. And he has been, at times, a voice of reason, within the US Senate.
In part, because of his leadership (as Governor) the state of Indiana is in far better shape than most of its neighbors.
I've voted for Democrats for state and local government. What frustrates me is those Democrats, in the face of logic and reason, continue to support such economic-killing ideas as: Card Check, Cap & Trade, Higher taxes, etc.
I sincerely appreciate you reading the blog. More importantly, I am grateful that you took the time to write.
