Honduras - Our media continues to refer to the ousting of the Honduran President as a Coup.   Sadly, Obama is taking his lead from Chavez and the Castro brothers to support a wanna-be dictator who was poised to hold an illegal election.  The clearest proof of the legitimacy of the Honduran action currently sits in Honduran Presidential chair.

Coups are generally a rebel or military led overthrow of a sitting government.  Often, a military leader will use his loyal guard to displace a sitting president.  Alternatively, a rebel force will elevate their leader (like the Castro's of Cuba).  So when the "coup" occurred in Honduras, who was elevated to the Presidency?  Was it a military general?  Nope.  Was it maybe a rebel leader?  No.  Was it even a person out of power?  No.

When the Honduran ousting of the President occurred - at the direction of the Honduran Supreme Court - elevated to the Presidency was the sitting Vice President of the Country.     The new, and legitimate President of Honduras might well have used Gerald Ford's famous words, as he was sworn into the Presidency - "Our constitution works,  Our great republic is a government of laws and not of men."

Unfortunately, like Chavez and the Castros, Obama is looking at Honduras through Socialist glasses.  And socialism is never about the law and ALWAYS about the MAN.
